The final results for Ironman 70.3 are out!

I can now proudly disclose the result of 5:11:44s of pain.... in relative terms:

I finished:

149 / 1039 official finishers.

Yes.

One Hundred and Forty Ninth. O_o"

............... Perhaps a 1, 2 month half hearted stint doesn't really make the cut after all?

Let's see more intriguing figures:

- 12 girls beat me, out of which only 7 are pro athletes. (*sob sob) luckily none singaporean (if that is any consolation....)

- My supposedly 'strong' bike leg is ranked 55 / 1039. (Damned cramps...)

- 29 singaporeans are ahead, out of which only 11 are Caucasian / European

- Of the 149 that beat me, only 2 lost to me in the swim..... (Hmmmm. *shrugs)

- Of the 149 that beat me, only 5 lost to me in the run.... (Damned cramps X 2...)

A feeling building inside me? Will I decide to avenge myself next year? Do I have the resources? Is a cramp-free race possible?

SAVA Sprint International concluded quickly this weekend. Well, it was a positive experience, with the team getting together once again. The alumni is still strong =) and we certainly had some fun together.

The racing itself was good, and we performed well, considering how much we trained. The team from phillipines, the PNP Patriots, proved that they are indeed a dragonboating power house. They were in their own league.

NUS and the National Team proved to have improved, or at least that they were no slouches, as they put up strong performances indeed. The expatriat team also suprisingly gave a very strong showing, giving the top teams some level of challenge.

Noticeably missing was NJC and NJC alumni, which would have certainly changed the atmosphere and situation for the race.

The weather was rainy in the morn and cool in the afternoon. Overall good weather lah. I had some fun cycling in the rain.

Well done Neophytes!!! The noob team indeed! Ha ha....

On other matters, the NUS cycling club is making another attempt at forming a road team again, and well I did raise my hand meekly. I'll pop in for one or 2 trainings if the training actually gets underway. But I have my fingers crossed.
