Another mid-exam-period post. 3 papers down and 3 more to go. Nothing much to say at the moment (still the same old dismal state of affairs), but I somehow mentioned wind tunnel testing for my bike position today while in the conference room. There is after all wind tunnel facility just next to the SRC. Here's a link at how time-trial position testing is done inside a LSWT (low speed wind tunnel):

Pretty cool, but I don't suppose there's any chance to do the above. In cycling, postition and bike fit are important performance factors too. Much like the need for proper boat trim, foot rest/seat position, paddle length etc for kayaks except that the degree of adjustability makes things really complicated (frame size, stack height, stem length, crank length, seat height, seat fore/aft, handlebar width, aerobar width, aerobar extension length, aerobar angle etc etc.....)
