Went cycling for the first time in like nearly 2 months... My TCR composite was a bliss to ride, compared to my daily commute. The shifting was immaculate, and of course it felt light. There was no fear of the chain falling of the crank or getting stuck. But well. the digits on the speedo were low, most of the time around 33 i think, sometimes struggling at 28. Even the fast stretches returned values of only 43kmh. Think I'm about nearly 5kmh slower than normal (ie if i rode for 1 hr, I would be 5 entire kilometers behind!!). That's nearly 10 minutes behind? Having said that, I felt technique wise I was still ok while cycling on the saddle. The revolutions were smooth. Out of the saddle efforts still felt a bit weird, but I had always been weak in that area I think, which explains my inability to sprint. Out of saddle efforts seem to be more of a relief of the strain on my normal riding position, especially my lower back.

The fish farms along neo tiew rode were wierdly crowded today, perhaps there was a deepavali sale? Cars were parked along the road side there, which was rather unusual. And I met Weili while stopping at a traffic light junction. He was riding pillion on a friend's scooter.

By the time I crawled home I developed a dry cough, the kind that effects itself when you try to inhale deeply. Probably the result of prolonged exposure to road dust after such a long while.

My left foot held up well with no pain. Seems like it's good enough for cycling. Running is a no no though. Oh well.
