Not too sure how but the week has passed quickly. I shouldn't be blogging with the amount of work out there. Hysys project, CN3125 term paper, lab report etc I seem to be 1 step behind my own group mates. And I somehow ended having 1 day of CPR course and 1 day of First Aid this week. And a CN3122 test on Monday. Drats.
The new Nelos have been fixed up with some protective tape. They are really fragile though, with scratches and slight paint chips appearing from the slightest of contact with foreign hard objects. I shall abstain from reckless wash riding and try to minimise any form of contact with non-liquids and non-gases. The ML has been a fitting boat with what I feel is good boat trim. The cockpit is spacious and the walls are high enough to prevent most waves from entering. The glide is as expected; not too fantastic vs the raptor, but the drag feels lower. Can't really explain this but it feels that way. And most significantly is the weight. I shall need maybe 2 kg of weights the next training. And importanty, compared to the raptor / tiger my feet are actually free from abrasion today. Amazing.
Oh, and the ANZA / Cycleworx -organised criterium at Changi Busniness Park on the 29th of October actually has prize money! It's amazaing how expats are able to find sponsors. Some bank I think (so much for the advertising) is sponsoring the event and there's $500 for the winner. Well, not that I may even be able to finish with the front pack... Anyways the format of the race for Men's Open is 90min + 3 laps. If I ever do take part it shall be a painful day.
