I would not recommend anyone to run up Mt Faber. It's just bad. And walking down is a slow and long process. I wonder how I survived climbing up and down hills during NS. Cycling up is SO much easier....

Well actually I think it varies from individual to individual.. Some people just have strong knees while others don't. As long as you know your limits it should be fine. Remember it's not "more pain more gain" all the time... Whenever you feel something amiss (eg. unnatural tightness in muscles, joints etc) loosen a little or slowdown till it goes away... I often end up walking for a few seconds during my long slow runs as it helps me recover a bit when vertain muscles are strained.

Know I'm contemplating if I should continue hammering my knees on the bike or postpone till tomorrow... Hmmm..
