Have been leading a dysfunctional life these past few days. Feeling tired due to late hours spent slacking, and conveniently putting off my morning cycle twice because of that. I shall make it a point to resume this routine next week, especially given the seeming loss of power I felt today during my afternoon north-western bike route. This public holiday's pretty wierd, as it actually made the roads more crowded instead! Days like Chinese New Year etc have nice empty and quiet roads for cyclists to ride. And what's wierder is the amount of road kill I'm seeing. 1 smashed up squirrel, 1 smashed up cat, and 2-3 dried up remains of what looks like snake / bird / cat I dunno....
After some consideration, I'll probably try to raise my saddle 0.5-1cm up and 1cm forward in order to increase the torso to leg angle. Placing my elbows 2+ cm further apart has indeed improved breathing.
PA champs this sat and sunday (assuming in finals). Another Sunday gone. Till now I'm still working on my K2 stability with Poh Khai. It's not just about knowing what to do, but also about actually putting it into practice. Sometimes the pace can be so high that the stroke gets rushed and shortened, and that results in wierd kicking on my part too. Sometimes, it becomes no kicking as I realise the pace has forced me out of phase. But it's ok, as we're still working on the ideal stroke rate to accomodate both sides. A full catch with proper draw and fuller kicking comes first, followed by higher frequency if our strength allows it.
I might not be going for this Sat's 6 X 3km AHM training due to the PA champs. Looks difficult, mentally.
And yes, Legs and Paddles has continued to mildly frustrate me, with no idea of the results till today (4 days and counting..). So much for uploading the results online.
