Interviews reveal some things about myself, to myself. Namely my unpreparedness, lack of knowledge and lack of tact.
Ah, my foot still hurts. But oddly, now my knee is aching more than my foot.
Anyway, yesterday I watched Avenue Q. Well, it touched on modern themes such as internet pornography, gays, inherent racism, dreams vs reality etc. Well, while it was funny (though I didn't get all the jokes) and well delivered musically and graphically, there were times when things felt odd.
I mean, it troubled me slightly that the modern crowd cheered wildly to themes of premature sex, internet pornography and gays. Well, obviously the show was meant to be funny, and we were there to enjoy the satire. But sometimes I was left wondering if people really felt any regret when they see the world as it is, deep inside. I guess some do and some don't.
The mere fact that these themes were brought up were good. In the sense that it makes us think about them, and realise our own opinions of them.
