After looking at how bike manufacturers keep on pushing out new models every few years, and how they keep 'going back to the drawing boards' to totally change their concept, it's saddening that many brands are, to me at least, loosing the characteristic flavours that made their bikes so different from each other.

In a short span of like 3 years, a bike brand can totally revamp it's lineup, so we really don't know how to judge how bikes should anymore, except once again based solely on the looks of the tubes and the geometry. All the marketing techno jargon is just nonsense to me. I mean, no matter how a bike looks, they always say how good it is.

It's even worse than writing a resume / cirriculum vitae. It's like the ONLY write the good points, but this time so many of the points seem trivial and bogus and totally blown out of proportion to me.

And guess what? Once again consumers will never truly know, because it's impossible to really test ride a bike ( i need to use it for at least say a few rides, a few hours each) before making a purchase. And it's hard to admit you made a sucky purchase of a few thousand dollars. Even subconsciously it will make you just believe your ride is good.

Heck, the truth is, there may not even really be any difference due to the DESIGN or MATERIALS of the bike. Sometimes, it may just be because of the different geometry, that the whole new sensation is felt.

Ok. Yes, a post of meaningless random thoughts that bare no consequence for me at all. I mean, not as if I'ld be getting a bike anytime soon. Heck, I hardly even go cycling anymore. Crap.
