I thought my legs had recovered but apparently not. I conclude that cramps result in a degree of muscle damage above that of normal excercise strain and catabolism... Hamstrings have been exceedingly thight this entire week.

I did one easy run for slightly less than an hour (cos I felt weak and the paced slowed miserably) and it rained.

Then on Sat I had fun doing an impromptu time trial (cycling) from Pandan to the farther side of Lower Seletar Resevoir. Man, that was pretty extreme as I was using every trick I knew to go faster (and breaking about every traffic rule too.... Disclaimer: Do not follow bad example) . Drafting trucks, sprinting up slopes, getting into the aero tuck etc etc.... All this on my trusty workhorse. Managed to make it in 55 min and witness the remainder of the RP dragonboat launch. In some ways it felt like a race against the dragonboat trailer etc. Well, turns out I stood no chance. Average speed was an estimated 35kmh? Flats was initially about 36kmh till I went aero and they became 39kmh.... Up slopes were slow at like 28kmh, downslopes weren't that frequent and were only slightly above 40kmh bar the final one at Mandai which allowed for 53kmh.

Dragonboat the next day was hot, and heavy. Hur hur. I think we'll need a great deal of luck to perform well but anyways the point is actually to have fun. What was it again? 12 races for the grils in 2 days? Sounds like fun? I certainly hope they find it so =)

Anyways my bike has been converted back into a road bike. Race tyres removed too. The time trialing season is over for now...
