On seperate news.... I got myself a new phone today. The previous one was pretty battered to say the least. Well, but it's true that it was working fine (minus the up key). And I have a working 6250 (i think) from 4 yrs ago lying around somewhere. I guess I'm the one who's "spoilt" (pun). Hur hur.

Anyways here it is, the Nokia 3110 Classic:

Well, it's a new model and I figured it would suit me. It seems to have all the features I might remotely use:
-1.3 megapixel camera
-Stereo FM radio
-Expandable memory: micro-SD Card (512mb included)
-MP3 playback
-Bluetooth (i can imagine using a bluetooth headset and cycling... haha)
-Infrared (connectivity to my laptop)
-Large buttons and display
-Increased battery life and durability (a bit doubtful but hopefully so)
$98 with 2 yr plan.
Fiddling with it for a few moments felt pretty neutral. Everything was pretty Nokia like, and the features were there. But the one thing that I didn't really like was the relatively slow interface, which I realise is a trait of all 3G phones today. The phone takes like literally 10s of seconds to initialize when i turn it on, and the menus aren't immediate like the phones of 2 generations ago. And I dare not even think what might happen if I dropped the phone. It doesn't have a removable cover this time round...
