Encounter

Been having pretty weak sensations the past 2 days. Aerobic capacity feels compromised. Legs have weird tingles at random areas. Knees do not feel strong. Power is lacking in the legs. Attempt at running on the track and riding to school was meak.

Been unexpectedly sleepy today also, or maybe I'm just subconsciously avoiding work. Have to finish up 2 tutorials and 1 lab report by tomorrow. Then next is to prepare for next lab. And then finish up another tutorial by Friday. Some of the lectures are getting tougher so some rereading of the notes would be more than necessary...

Besides that, tomorrow morn will be my final, and first test for my race prep bike. Gonna pace ANZA again. IT BETTER NOT RAIN!!!! It has been raining for goodness knows how many mornings. I haven't gone cycling for 2 weeks!!!!! Unimaginable.... Haven paddled for 2 weeks too!!! I feel the power fading.

Then thursday I shall go collect my race pack and do some shopping for memorabilia. Think I shall buy 2 bottles, a visor and a polo T and that would already set me back like $100. Ouch.

Friday is the race briefing with the release of wave numbers etc.

Sat is the orientation swim (should I go?) and the checking in of my bike + running gear.

Have to set aside time to tweak the bike and oil the drivetrain once again. And there are so many things to pack and consider.

I must say in some ways the event was more complicated than I expected. I spent like 1 hour reading through the race booklet:
http://www.ironman703singapore.com/uploads/2007_AVIVA703SG_AthletesGuide.pdf

It's 23 pages long with quite many regulations.

Will I have supporters? *Shrugs* But anyway completedly no outside help is allowed, though I was thinking it would be great if someone could pick up my water bottles (so I don't have to throw them away).... For those thinking of supporting, there IS bus transport (return trip) from the swim area (T1, carpark F2 ECP) to the bike and run area (T2, floating platform and grandstand Marina Area) and vice versa. But I would have to buy the bus tickets in advance by Friday. More details to follow.

eh, I've been told I cannot dispose of the bottles anywhere else except at the aid stations. Nevermind, I'll just use some condemned bottle and throw away bah
