Through a twist of events, I ended up going for the Rodalink group ride today. Anyway, due to me not keeping to my 10pm sleeping timing, for the 3rd day in a row this morning I UNPACKED my bag in the morning and gave up the notion of cycling to work. Wake up late + sleepy + bad traffic = good excuse.

So I went cycling at night instead, in place of a run because my knees felt a little weird. In fact, it doe take some effort and convincing to extricate yourself from your house when you reach back after a day of work. I wanted to turn back home 5 mins out the door, bu oh well continued instead.

The ride was as usual, but the pace was more regular, with few crazy attacks that people would actually bother chsing down. Interesting observations were 2 female cyclists, presumably the spouses of other riders were in the pack too, but they were dropped shortly once the speed hit 45kmh. A few old men in their late 50s were left trailing too as the pace continued.

The only exception was this ONE girl, who stuck with us all the way, and forced me to force a change of pace in the ending moments of the ride just to over take her. It was prob the 3rd time I had to accelerate after I made a weak bid to attack the group just before the finishing straight. Scary.
