It feels weird not moving for... 4 days? In fact, in some ways it was starting to get frustrating. I started questioning why I was always cramming inside buses and trains, and when I ate I ate with full knowledge that I was putting in more than I would put out. But I was indeed hungry.

And it feels weird not getting my heart to beat above, say 90 rpm for 4 days plus straight. Basically a very sluggish feeling. Hmm. Sigh, but at the back of my head I know it's probably true, that all I can do now is rest. Thanks to the ITB.

In fact, if i logically think about it I really think i'm asking for some miracle now. The truth is, on tuesday when i ran, it DID in fact HURT, as compared to the previous week where it only throbbed with tight sensations. Doesn't that imply INCREASED damage? Perhaps someone was right in citing cycling as a contributing factor.

Yeah, so my own research brought up various forms of anti-inflammatory medicines. NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) are what I took since wednesday, enlisting the help of my bro. Basically Mefenamic Acid and dichlorofenac sodium (incidentally both seem to be for treatment of menstrual cramps too T_T). Yah, so more or less I think I can be assured my ligament won't be inflammed PRIOR to the start of the run. And I've been trying (perhaps in vain) to stretch the supporting muscles which contribute the tightness to the ITB.

Other more severe treatments available are Cortisone injection (a steroid, think: doping), and something called ITB release surgery. Ha ha.

Yup, so tomorrow we will know. Crap, my lousy bike got stolen, now have to take the risk tomorrow.
