It's been a while since I blogged due to, erm, nothing significant to blog about. Well, the HR exam is over, and I paid a few visits to the conference room (aka my hall) to check on it's fellow inhabitants. A few new faces. Watched a movie and read a book there.

It's amazing that I actually read a book. The last time I actually really read a book must have been in secondary school. Yeah, I don't read, which probably explains my limited linguistic abilities. Irene commented that I was 'boring' cos she prob gathered that all I did was watch cycling-related movies and now even read cycling-related books... Well, but isn't it only natural to follow your passion ? =) I mean, isn't it interesting to find out that the very same sport you love can mean so many different things to different people? For some it's a passion (Movie: Breaking Away, Anime: Overdrive), to others it's their pride / tool to gain social acceptance (Movie: Beijing Bicycle), their unhealthy obsession (Movie: The Flying Scotsman) and for the pros it's their job and their tool for success (Anime: Summer in Andulusia, Movies: Overcoming; Hell On Wheels, Book: It's not about the bike).

I wonder what it is to me? Transport? Passion? Perhaps just a tool to keep fit?Anyway, the bicycle has limited capabilites. It's biggest limitation: the rider. I tried to use it as one would use a motorvehicle. Got the job done but due to fuel consumption issues I nearly cooked the engine.
It's currently stalled with a leaky nose and other flu-ish symptoms. Engine aside I must thank Indra from passione bikes for fixing the transmission on my bike. Basically helped straigthen my bent derailleur hanger (from letting my bro crash (literally) my bike around on sunday) and oiling up the zero-maintenance ultra dry chain. Now my bike (minus engine) feels brand new =)
