Yesterday, having seen that my left foot had recovered considerably on Monday, I attempted a conservative long run. 1hr 17 mins to school, and 1hr 25 mins back. I can't remember the timings on my bike, but on my bike I'm pretty sure the 'back' time is a lot quicker, thanks to down slopes etc. It was the opposite for the run cos I was on the 'wrong' side of the road at farrer road, which forced me to have to negotiate some weird multiple storeyed carpark / hdb area to get to st margarets...
And I almost got myself knocked down by a bus due to my own stupidity. Tired + confused sense of estimation made me attempt to run (literally) a red light. But bike and running speeds are so different, that i was basically just throwing myself into traffic. Hur hur. I should thank the bus uncle for stopping his bus.
Today was bad... Woke up super late (basically had some weird plan to go cycling first, but aborted and went back to sleep), and subsequently forgot to bring my paddle to PRSSC. Toe was hurting due to T1 footstrap cut + 2.5 hrs of rubbbing it while running the past 2 days. Cycling there was debilitating, sub par speeds + tiredness. Paddling was so so. Cycling back was on empty... Saw speeds like 15kmh, 18kmh.... ZZZzzz......
Shall amazingly recover for tomorrow! Just a small glipse of a day out of the few weeks of a stage race.
