DAY SEVEN (Hat Yai - Hat Yai 7km?)
Well, day seven was my R&R day! Time to just slack and look around the place etc. Hur hur. Top on my agenda list was to buy a bag so I could store stuff in it and carry it around comfortably. I also found out the exchange rate. 100 baht was about S$4.3. Anyways, I shall let the pictures do the most of the talking bah.

Scooters have been very popular in Malaysia and Thailand. This pink scooter looks quite cheap i think.

There were many travel agencies around the place.

I was kinda sleepy and heavy eyed the first half of the day.
Something I felt mildly interesting occurred here. Well, the stall holders spoke to each other in Thai, but they spoke to us in Madarin. Then came this Indian man with his Chinese friends. I think they were Malaysian. So we had the Thai stall holder speaking Mandarin and spouting prices in English to the group with the Chinese fellas explaining in Malay to the Indian guy whilst speaking amongst themselves in Cantonese.

10 baht a stick. Kinda touristy price.
This is how it feels zooming around Hat Yai on my de-equipped bike!

A real night market.

Passengers in this tuk-tuk ponder what this guy's doing on a bicycle when everyone else is on scooter....

Dynamic people using umbrellas and wearing skirts while sitting pillion. Helmets? What's that?

This lady was even more pro... Sitting pillion like that and having a drink 2-handed while zooming at 50kmh.

This was bout the only time my bike could have been stolen. Can you spot it in the rain?

Inside this mega shopping mart called Lotus. Something like the Giant or Carrefour we are more familiar with.

My hotel for the second day. 660 baht but way better than hotel Indra (500 baht).

The rear rack acted as an excellent fender today in the drizzle, keeping my clothes clean from grime.

Supper was some quail from the road side store. =)
