Alright, I know guys aren't supposed to bitch about things, but I just find it amusing / semi-self emphathetic with myself today... I spent a good part of the day not studying, busy doing absolutely pointless things. Just putting this up so I can laugh at myself next time.

Firstly, I wasted the good hours in the morning with a mere few pages of 3124 notes, mostly due to sleepy/laziness. I was so brain dead I couldn't even see the obvious when a friend actually seeked my opinion to a problem. I gave a pretty no-brainer over simplistic answer. What a let-down I must havce been.

And when I when I decided to abandon the comforts of home and head to school, I actually forgot to turn off the stove cooker ignition switch. It's the one that has a red light when it's on and allows you to operate the spark plug to light the stove once the gas is on. Yup, so I actually turned around mid-way and headed home. On the way I went to settle yet another bike related problem. This rivette on my newly-acquired-second-hand-replacement aerobar flip-up bracket keep coming loose due to the road vibrations, and blue tack certainly did not help. Was told by Wilson at TEF to come back next Tuesday once he has the necessary tools... Yeah, right, Tuesday and I'll be in the exam hall for my second paper.

And back on hall and its 7 and I decided to go for the Rodalink West Tueday ride. Great, I reach at 7:25 and see no one. Abosolutely no one, indicating that they probably left at 7:15. I think of chasing the pack (what am I thinking right) by drafting the container trucks at close to 50kph, but unfortunately the traffic lights work against my favour. And alls well as I decide to cycle by myself, until I make the return leg after Tuas... Next moment I hear a wierd metal mesh sound behind me, and realise I cycled over something. And the next moment, the dreadful grinding feeling off a flat rear tyre is felt. And I end up walking barefoot along the expresway pushing my bike for nearly 10 mins. Cabs pass by me as if I wasn't there, and I finally catch a cab because the driver pulled over to answer an overseas phone call. Great. And next, I only have 6 dollars and taxi fare was nearing 10 bucks. And great, the taxi driver had to cross one of our infamous NUS humps, causing the boot cover to slam on my protruding carbon seatpost. Luckily, I spotted a hall mate I knew and borrowed the necessary 10 bucks. The remaining time was wasted fixing the flat. Wierd that the puncture occured on the side of the tube, but no foreign object or hole could be found in the tyre wall. Neither was it a pinch flat (didn't feel like one and I didn't see the characteristic 2 holes).

What a day busy over nothing. 5 hours spent not studying. Great.
